Cretaceous New Jersey amber - Cockroach (Blattodea)/ the amber piece is embedded in epoxy by AMNH - body 3 mm

Cretaceous New Jersey amber (90-94 MYO) whit perfect and extremely rare cockroach embedded in epoxy by AMNH - body 3 mm (body+feelers and legs 7mm).

Cockroaches are among the extremely rare inclusions in New Jersey amber. This cockroach is perfectly preserved, and because of its rarity, the AMNH ( research.amnh.org/iz/resources/fossil-insect-laboratory ) studied this inclusion and embed the piece in epoxy. So this is a perfect museum piece of amber with a perfectly preserved cockroach who lived approx. 29 million years before Tyrannosaurus rex and approx. 93 million years before the first humans.
Not something that typically is in private hands ;)
